  • 2 anchovies, chopped
  • 3 cups cooked cannellini beans (or 2 15.5-ounce cans), rinsed

  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper, plus more to taste
  • 8 oz short pasta, such as shells or orecchiette
  • 1 lemon, zested and halved
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan, plus more as needed
  • 4 oz baby arugula (about 2 cups), roughly chopped
