Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 10 oz mixed mushrooms (wild if possible), torn or sliced
  • kosher salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed and peeled
  • 1/2 recipe artisan pizza dough (one 15 oz dough ball)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano leaves, plus more for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, plus more for garnish
  • 3 oz shredded fontina
  • 1 oz shredded parmesan

Instructions

  1. Place pizza steel or stone in the oven and preheat to 500°F. Let steel heat up for a full 45 minutes.
