These tahini chocolate chip cookies have soft centers, crispy caramelized edges, big chunks of dark chocolate and a sweet, nutty sesame flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 10 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup well-stirred tahini
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 6 oz bittersweet chocolate feves (can substitute chocolate chunks or chips)
  • black and white sesame seeds, for rolling
  • flaky salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
