miso sesame ginger dressing

This sesame ginger dressing is sweet, tangy and intensely savory. Layers of vinegar, miso and a ton of grated fresh ginger bring a big punch of flavor to whatever you use it on!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp minced shallot
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp white miso paste
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup canola oil (or other neutral oil)
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 garlic clove, smashed
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • Pinch of red chili flakes, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine shallot, ginger, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, rice wine vinegar, miso paste, brown sugar, salt, canola oil and toasted sesame oil in a blender. 
  2. Blend on high until thick and smooth, about 2 minutes.
  3. Transfer to a jar and stir in garlic clove, sesame seeds and chili flakes.
