Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 garlic clove, smashed and peeled
  • kosher salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 lb fresh salmon
  • 1 lemon, zested and sliced into rounds
  • 1 lb dried fettuccine (or 1 1/2 lbs fresh fettuccine)
  • 2 tbsp butter, cubed
  • 1 cup finely grated parmesan, plus more for serving
  • chopped fresh soft herbs, for garnish (such as chives, parsley, mint, tarragon)

Instructions

  1. Combine cream, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Gently simmer until thickened and flavorful, about 20 minutes. Discard garlic clove, and keep warm.
