This is a milky, creamy ricotta cheese dip that’s filled with fresh herbs, bright lemon zest, and a dollop of tangy sour cream. Serve this ricotta spread with your favorite sliced vegetables and seedy crackers.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh, whole milk ricotta
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt, plus more to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup minced fresh herbs (mix of parsley, chives, basil, tarragon and/or mint)
  • 1 tbsp good olive oil, for drizzling
  • flaky salt, for garnish
  • crudites, sliced bread and crackers, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Add ricotta, sour cream, lemon zest, salt and black pepper to a mixing bowl and stir to combine. Stir in herbs.
  2. Transfer ricotta dip to a serving bowl. Use the back of a spoon to make swirls in the surface, then drizzle olive oil on top. Sprinkle with flaky salt.
  3. Serve with fresh vegetables, bread and crackers.

Notes

Dip will keep, covered and refrigerated, for 2 days.
