  • 2 oil-packed anchovies, drained
  • 1 small garlic clove, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup packed flat-leaf parsley leaves
  • 1/4 cup packed basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped dill
  • 2 tbsp snipped chives
  • 1 tbsp oregano leaves
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • kosher salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise


  1. Combine anchovies, garlic, parsley, basil, dill, chives, oregano, olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, 1 tablespoon water, 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth, about two minutes. Add the mayonnaise, and blend again until smooth. Taste and add more salt or pepper if needed.
