The amaretto stone sour is delightfully fresh, citrusy cocktail with notes of sweet almond and vanilla. We add a splash of aged rum to balance the sweet amaretto and add rich caramelized flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces amaretto
  • 3/4 oz dark rum (optional)
  • 1 ½ ounces fresh squeezed orange juice
  • ½ ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
  • ½ ounce simple syrup
  • orange zest and cocktail cherry, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine amaretto, rum (if using), orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until chilled, about 10 seconds, then strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
  2. Garnish with a cocktail pick threaded with a strip of orange zest and a cocktail cherry.
